Chapter 16

As the door slammed behind her, Sophia heard John shout something so fast she had no idea what he said and looked around to see what the problem was.
"Well that was fucking smart!" Jon shouted at her. It took Sophia a little time to realise they were locked in, the door could only be opened from the outside unless you had a key, which judging by Jon's reaction, Sophia was pretty sure he didn't.
"How the hell was I supposed to know it would lock?" Sophia shouted back. "How were you planning on getting out?"
Jon looked at her, "Well I was careful enough to leave it open a little when I came in. Then you announced yourself with a scud, bang, wallop and now we're fucking stuck!"
"Well if you hadn't stomped off like a two year old earlier then I wouldn't have had to come after you!" Sophia shouted back.
"Oh, so it's my fault you locked us in here then?" Jon asked sarcastically.
"I was coming here to apologise to you but I don't think I'll bother now", Sophia said moving closer to Jon.
"Suits me, an apology will hardly open the door for us!" Jon replied. Before he knew it he had moved towards Sophia and planted his lips on hers. To his shock, he found that her lips welcomed his and they shared an intense kiss.

The silence in the room was deafening. It was as though the realisation of what had just happened had left them both in shock. Why, when all they ever did was argue, were they so attracted to each other? Sophia eventually worked up the courage to look at Jon, who she was sure was wondering the same thing as her. She watched him for a short time trying to think of something to say to break the silence. Eventually she burst out laughing.
"I'm glad someones happy", Jon said in a half serious tone before bursting into laughter himself. "You should have seen your face when I shouted not to let the door close, it was priceless", Jon told her.
"Oh, that's what you said? I thought you had made up your own language! I didn't know what you said but it sure as hell sounded funny and what the hell was that scud, bang, wallop rant all about? Been catching up on your comic books Jonny-boy?" Sophia laughed while Jon tried to convince her that she had made it up and insisted he couldn't remember saying any of it.

They spent the next 20 minutes laughing at each other before Sophia turned the conversation serious again. "You probably already know, but I was acting the way I was earlier because of the whole my sister and your best friend thing. We've got to work together and it's clear where both our loyalties lie so how about we make it a deal never to mention their break up and we start again? I'm Sophia Tallarico, nice to meet you", Sophia said, putting her hand out in hope that Jon would accept. Jon's hand reached hers in lightening speed and he took her by surprise by choosing to kiss her hand rather than shake it, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sophia". It was exactly what Jon was wanting, to be able to talk to her without thoughts of Richie and Victoria hanging over them. They then set about trying to get out of the room but to no avail and instead took turns banging on the giant door. Jon was sure no-one would hear them from the other side but he didn't let Sophia know, he was finding it entertaining watching her beat up a door. They were going to have to wait it out until someone came looking for them.

Sophia had finally given up on banging on the door, instead she rummaged around the room to see what she could find. After bringing out a box of junk and searching through it she found an old radio and turned it on to hear Def Leppards Love and Hate Collide playing, "Oh great, one station and it had to be depress us FM", she said rolling her eyes. "Why were you in here in the first place?" She asked Jon.
"I was given an old film and a guy told me I'd find an ancient projector to play it on in here", he pointed out the projector he had been looking for.
"Who's idea was it to build a room with only one way out and no handle to use it? It's like they little axes you get on buses and stuff, you know that say "break glass to use" and you just think well that's just pointless, the reason I wanted the axe in the first place was to break glass and escape say a fire or something, then the information on the axe tells you to break that glass before you get to break the real glass and then you give up and run through the glass cos the axe is fucking pointless!" Sophia stopped her rant when she noticed Jon seemed to be lost with what she was saying, instead they both burst out laughing again. "Sorry, I like to rant! But really this room is like having the only fire exit at the top of a 100 storey building!"
"That was all you were trying to say with that other nonsense?" Jon laughed harder. It was at that moment that Sophia realised she liked Jon enough to want to see him again out of work. "You know that offer of dinner? I think I'll take you up on it", she said. They had arranged all the details of when and where while they awaited rescue which eventually arrived 3 hours later in the form of a security guard looking for missing staff.

Chapter 15

Jon being his usual self was early on set again. He enjoyed arriving before the rest of the cast as it gave him the opportunity to relax before work began. Relaxing was something of a problem for him right now, he still blamed himself for the state Richie was in. If he hadn't told him what he heard his best friend wouldn't be sitting in rehab right now. Jon was moping around the set when he heard Sophia's voice in the make up room. Careful not to let her see him, he glanced into the room to see Sophia talking to what Jon assumed was a trainee. He still wasn't sure how he felt about her and after watching her for a further few minutes he forced himself to walk on. He wanted to speak to her but wasn't sure what to say or whether he should since she was Victoria's sister. Eventually he pushed the matter aside choosing to go back to his trailer and concentrate on his script.

Sophia was busy showing Rachel, her new trainee, how to get the best effect from the make up she was using when she spotted Jon walking around the set. She knew he was watching her but refused to acknowledge him, unsure if it would appear as being disloyal to her sister. Part of her wanted to talk to him but a big part of her still didn't understand the man in the slightest. Their meetings before had always ended up as an argument and that was something she didn't want on the first day of filming. "Girl, you've used that colour at least 10 times now, you feeling okay?" Rachel asked her.
"I'm so sorry Rachel! I'm miles away," Sophia replied.
"Well, as long as it's sunny there hunny I'll forgive ya!" Rachel smiled. She then told Rachel about the whole situation as she had grown to trust the trainee and found her more of a friend than a student. "Are you mad girl? Go for it! I know I would! No chance would I be sneaking around avoiding Jon Bon Jovi", Rachel told her. It was simple for everyone else but they seemed to be blinded by his fame, that was what drew others towards him but was the thing Sophia hated most. She didn't know what to do about him.

Jon had been pacing up and down his trailer for most of the morning while he wasn't filming. He still couldn't decide what he should do regarding Sophia. After much thought he decided the best thing to do was call Richie and find out what he thought about it. "Go for it bud! No point in the two of us being miserable", Richie had told him. Richie had been pretty surprised at his view and wondered why Jon had even thought it would bother him, as far as he was concerned Sophia and Victoria were two different people and he trusted Jon as a good judge of character. After their conversation Jon took a while to work up the courage to go in and talk to Sophia. He stood at the door waiting for the room to empty a bit more before he went in. He was making polite conversation and tried to sound natural even thought they both felt awkward but he soon became more confident and before he could stop himself he had asked her out to dinner. He had thought they were getting on quite well but her reaction to the dinner suggestion proved otherwise. She didn't look impressed and the look she did give was enough to cause him to leave without an answer.

Sophia stood beside her work station thinking about their conversation. It wasn't that she wasn't wanting to go to dinner with him, she had just never thought about it and with him asking during their first conversation since the whole Richie and Victoria thing she was taken by surprise. "Was I horrible to him there?" Sophia asked Rachel.
"Ice cold, girlfriend that was harsh but I'll be happy to take him off your hands", Rachel replied with a wink.
"I better go find him and apologise", Sophia told her as she left the room. She had been walking around the set for some time before she found Jon going into a small building. Reaching the door closely behind him she entered and slammed the door behind her.

Chapter 14

The months that has passed since Richie and Victoria's break up had been stressful for Sophia. She was trying her hardest to get her sister back to the way she had been before the whole Richie thing but nothing seemed to work. The more she tried to help her the more her sister pushed her away. Sophia could only watch her sister throw herself into work and be there for her when she decided she wanted to talk. As time went on and Bon Jovi released another album it became increasingly difficult to keep the magazines and newspapers away from Victoria. Jon and Richie seemed to be photographed every night with a different actress or model on their arm and Sophia did her best to keep those pictures out of sight from her sister. Now and again Sophia would read the articles, which she knew she would regret as soon as she ended the page, they always emphasized how happy the band was to be touring again and it made her angry to know that Richie was having a ball while her sister was still suffering.

Jon felt exhausted as he collapsed into one of the dressing room seats. They had just finished another sell out show and the band was doing better than ever. The publicity was great mainly due to the plan Jon had devised of having all the guys step out with a famous woman almost every night as well as the non stop TV interviews. In theory the guys would have been pleased about it but the whole idea was just more work and it was taking its toll on all of them. It should have been the best time of their careers but they were all too exhausted to appreciate it and the tension between them was growing every day. It was becoming an effort to be around each other and Jon was increasingly worried about Richie's behaviour. He was drinking a lot more than normal and Jon had to constantly cover for him with the press.

Victoria arrived home from work to find Sophia ripping pages out of a magazine. Curious at what her sister was up to she sneaked up behind her and pulled the pages from her hand. Sophia swung round to see Victoria's face drop. The expression on her face was unreadable and Sophia assumed she was upset at what she had found on the page.
"How long have you been doing this?" Victoria demanded, the anger in her voice rising with every word.
"I thought it would upset you so I've been taking them out before you read them", Sophia confessed.
"I can't believe you would do that! How do you expect me to get over him if you hide everything he appears on!" Victoria shouted. Sophia didn't know what to say to her, this was far from the reaction she expected. Victoria stormed to her room while Sophia sat in silence. An hour or so later Victoria appeared from her room with a suitcase in her hand. "I'm going back home for a while. I need to get away from this place. Don't try and stop me Sophia, it's what I have to do", Victoria's face was deadly serious as she spoke. Sophia stepped out of her way and let her leave, she had never seen her sister like that before and so she did as she asked.

The tour was almost finished now and they had succeeded in selling out every show they had done. Even though everything had gone as Jon had planned there was still something missing. He thought taking Richie on tour and getting back to work would have helped him but it proved to have done the opposite. Jon rarely saw him without a drink in his hand and the more he watched him, he realised how unhappy he was. There were times that he wished he hadn't heard what Victoria had said and felt guilty at being the one to break the news to Richie. He hadn't been able to get through to him during the tour, it was as though he had taken a shadow of the man with him rather than his best friend. It was watching Richie that made Jon decide they would take a break after the tour and he would go back to acting while he helped get Richie back to his old self.

Chapter 13

Sophia found her sister sitting in the living room and couldn't help but stand and watch her from the doorway for a few minutes. She was the happiest Sophia had ever seen her.
"Look at the state of you", Sophia said, startling her sister.
"You always sneaking up on people?" Victoria asked.
"Your sitting here like a love sick puppy, it's disgusting!" Sophia teased her.
"I can't help it, he's just amazing! I've never met anyone like him before and he told me he loves me", Victoria beamed. Sophia was pleased for her sister, it was clear she loved him too.
"Your lying, you only love him for his money. Admit it", Sophia teased.
"Yeah, your right, I'm with Richie because he's rich and famous, just think of the life I'll have and the career prospects", Victoria played along. "No, seriously sis, I really love him. I've never felt like this before". Sophia studied her sister for a minute before giving her a big hug and saying, "I know sis, I know. Now pass some of that love around!"

Jon burst into Richie's room telling him to sit down. "What got you all fired up?" Richie asked Jon, amazed at how angry his friend was.
"She's taking you for a ride!" Jon half shouted, attempting to keep his anger under control. Richie's face dropped, "What are you talking about bud?" Jon paced up and down the room and explained to his best friend what he had just heard from Victoria.
"You sure it was Victoria who said it?" Richie asked solemnly.
"Well who the hell else is dating a Richie around here. It was her, I know her voice", Jon threw his words at him and then watched Richie try and take it all in. "Think about it bud. It was me she wanted first, remember on set? You were her second choice and her plan worked perfectly, you fell for her big time! Hell, even I believed she was real!" Jon told his best friend. Richie had tears in his eyes when he spoke, "Thanks for letting me know, but can I have a minute on my own?" Richie opened the door to let Jon out, barely looking at him so not to reveal the tears in his eyes. Jon patted him on the shoulder as he left, "I'm sorry, I had to tell you". Richie nodded at him and closed the door.

Sophia was on her way back to her room when she heard someone crying hysterically. Pushing the door open, she found her sister sitting on the floor sobbing into her hands. "What is it?" Sophia asked, panic in her voice.
"He doesn't want anything to do with me. He told me to leave and never come back", Victoria eventually managed to sat through her tears. Sophia was confused especially after their chat earlier. She put her arms around her sister to comfort her. "He was so angry, I don't even know what I've done wrong. Why did he tell me he loves me and then do this?", Victoria burst into tears again.
"Well is that's how he really is then he's not worth crying over", Sophia felt her anger growing, she didn't know what to say to her sister, "Lets get packed and get out of that assholes life!" Eventually she got Victoria to calm down and they packed her things first before heading to Sophia's room to do the same. Once they were packed, they called for a taxi to the airport and left quietly without saying goodbye to anyone.

Jon stood by Richie's side watching them leave from an upstairs window. He was unsure how he felt about the whole situation. He never thought he would have to break news like that to anyone in his life and it hurt to see Richie as sad and angry as he was. Yet he was glad that he had seen Victoria for what she was before things went any further between them. Sophia however, was another matter altogether, he had no idea how he felt about her leaving. He knew she was loyal to her sister but a sadness filled him when he watched her leave. He spent the next few hours watching Richie closely and knew that his friend needed something to take his mind off things. "Back to work?" Jon asked. Richie looked at him, managing a slight smile and replied, "Back to work Jon".

Chapter 12

"What the hell are you doing?" Sophia asked him, standing back looking shocked. Jon stood looking at his feet in silence. Where had that come from? Why did I do that? he asked himself.
"Stay away from me Jon", Sophia told him as she turned to leave.
"From what I recall there was two sides to that kiss", Jon shouted after her. Sophia continued to walk away with Jon following close behind.
"I told you to leave me alone", Sophia growled at him.
"I will just as soon as you tell me you never felt anything when we kissed, I know I felt it", Jon managed to get in front of her and stop her in her tracks. Sophia stood looking at him for a short time, expressionless, before shaking her head and pushing passed him.
"Your nuts! Your such a self obsessed asshole that you'll make things up just to get what you want!" She continued to march away from him.
"You've got me all wrong babe. I definitely felt something during that kiss and you did too", he smiled at her as he caught up with her once more. "Will you just stop running and talk to me, if you never felt a thing then prove it". Sophia stopped walking and turned to look at him, "What the hell are you on about now?"
Jon flashed her his best smile before saying, "If you kiss me right now and tell me honestly that you never felt anything then I'll stop running after you and leave you alone". Sophia considered his words and then quickly brought her lips to his as they shared a second kiss.

"There, are you happy now? I didn't feel a thing!" Sophia shouted.
"Yeah, I'm happy but I still don't believe you, if you didn't feel anything the first time then you wouldn't have agreed to kiss me again", Jon grinned. Sophia looked stunned for a second and then a smile crossed her face. She couldn't help it, the guy had been so right and had managed to catch her out too. She tried to turn away before Jon saw her face but it was too late, he had spotted his sign to keep moving.
"I know I said that if you told me that you didn't feel anything I would leave you alone and I'm a man of my word, but how about we're just two people heading home in the same direction? Is that allowed?" Jon asked as he put his arm around her and they started walking again.
"Piss off Jon!" Sophia told him through laughter as she pushed him away. Jon in turn playfully nudged her back and they continued home together.

The next morning Sophia woke up unsure what she would say to Jon when she saw him at breakfast. She didn't know how she felt about him or how to analyse his behaviour. Was he really feeling what she felt? or was it just another way to get what he wants? She didn't understand the man in the slightest, everytime she thought she had him worked out he would pull another stunt and they would be back at square one again. Pulling herself away from her thoughts, she got out of bed and got dressed, taking a deep breath at the top of the stairs to work up the courage to face Jon at the breakfast table.
"Darling, if I make you breathless from a kiss the night before, then just imagine how you would feel if we spent the night together", Jon appeared behind her and kissed her on the neck as he brushed passed her on the stairs. This guy's unreal, he knows exactly what he does to women. Don't wobble Sophia, don't let it show, she thought to herself.
"Don't flatter yourself, darling and isn't it ladies first?" Sophia replied as she pushed passed him on the stairs.

Jon couldn't believe her reaction to him on the stairs, that had never happened to him before. Most women melt at the slightest touch from him and yet she was telling him not to flatter himself. He couldn't work her out but it only made him want her more. He hadn't spoke since breakfast and found himself constantly thinking up ways to win over Sophia. It was going to be his new challenge he decided, no-one had ever made him feel that way from one kiss and no-one had ever treated him the way she did. Still thinking up his plans as he made his way back to his room, he was distracted by the sound of voices from the living room. It was Victoria's voice he could hear and was about to keep walking when he heard her say, "Yeah, your right, I'm with Richie because he's rich and famous, just think of the life I'll have and the career prospects".

Chapter 11

Sophia woke up early the next morning, she was determined to do something as a gesture for being welcomed to stay in the house, so she decided on making everyone a special breakfast. She was half way through the cooking when Richie's mum found her in the kitchen. "There will be no guest of mine doing the cooking, sit down and I'll get it finished," she told her. Sophia refused to leave explaining that she wasn't going to sit around and let her run after her all day. The two of them continued to bicker until they burst out laughing and agreed they would finish the breakfast together. "Jesus woman, your as stubborn now as the first day I met you, I could hear you from the bedroom," Richie's dad said as he kissed his wife good morning before greeting Sophia. As they all sat down together for breakfast, the two women dished out the food and joined them. "For having two stubborn assed cooks in the kitchen, that turned out to be one hell of a good breakfast. Thank-you ladies," Richie's dad continued, "Jon, theres the kind of woman you want, it's about time you got yourself a nice girl." Sophia felt her cheeks turn red as Jon looked up from his plate and gave her that big smile as he shrugged his shoulders in reply to Richie's dad. Sophia started to clean up the table as everyone finished eating and couldn't help wonder why she had been so embarrassed earlier, she also noticed she was paying more attention to Jon - a lot more.

Jon was getting irritated at having to wait on everyone else getting dressed for dinner. They had decided to go out to a restaurant by the water for a meal and a couple of drinks which he was looking forward to until he realised how long it was taking the rest of them to get dressed. He continued to pace along the hallway continually glancing at his watch. "You know that no matter how many times you look at that watch it still won't make them arrive any quicker," Sophia said as she walked down the stairs. Oh shit! Jon thought, she was wearing a long red dress almost identical to the one he had dreamt about her wearing. She was looking even better in reality than she had in the dream. "Put the eyes back in the sockets man, that's my girlfriends sister, she won't be amused," Richie said to Jon as he playfully shoved him out the way.

The journey to the restaurant went quickly and before they knew it they had been seated and their orders had been taken. Once again Jon had been placed opposite Sophia since they were the only single people there. He almost wished he hadn't been sat so close to her because he couldn't keep his eyes off her. They chatted to each other all through the first two courses and were having a really good time until one of the waiters dropped some plates behind Sophia. She immediately got up to help the red faced young boy clean up and before he had the chance to take the words back, they had already escaped his mouth, "Don't bother helping him, if he can't do his job properly he should deal with the mess." He had no idea why he had said it and the look on Sophia's face proved it was uncalled for. She calmly sat herself down at the table once again before growling at Jon, "And I suppose you've never made a mistake." Jon had no idea what to say to her. Now he was definitely confused about her, why does she hate everything I do? It wasn't that bad a comment to make, was it? Oh that woman is driving me mad! he thought.

Sophia couldn't believe Jon could be so harsh to the waiter. What had he ever done to offend him? she wondered. She chose to ignore him for the rest of the meal which proved to be a much more difficult task than first anticipated. She noticed every movement he made and as the night went on Jon's shirt began to open further at the top to reveal some of his tanned and toned body. Whoever thought ignoring someone would be so hard? Sophia thought to herself. There was no way she would give in and speak to him first, she would wait until he apologised to the waiter before she would speak another word to him.

Jon excused himself from the table shortly after Sophia, partly because he was curious to where she had gone and partly because he wanted to apologise to her. It didn't take him long to find her, she was standing at the edge of the water staring into the distance surrounded by the romantic lights of the restaurant - she was the most beautiful thing Jon had ever seen. He slowly made his way towards her unsure of what to say. "Hey," he said as he finally reached her side, all other words seeming to have left him at that moment in time. He left like a first class idiot, standing there beside her in silence with his hands in his pockets wishing for a braincell to take his side and produce something for him to say. "I don't wanna be like him," Jon spoke so fast Sophia had to ask him to repeat it. "I once done that same shitty job before the band made it big and I don't want to be back there again, it was nothing against him and I don't know why it even came out, I'm sorry," he said as he moved to face her. "I assume you apologised to him?" Sophia asked. "Erm..well...no," Jon replied looking at the floor. "Your a stubborn asshole!" Sophia shook her head in frustration as she turned to walk away. Jon grabbed her by the hand and spun her towards him until their eyes connected before pulling her close and allowing his lips to slowly meet hers in a passionate kiss.

Chapter 10

The following morning they all woke up early as they had been instructed before. Richie’s parents refused to tell them what they had planned until after breakfast so everyone finished their meals as quickly as possible. Richie’s parents finally revealed they were going to put activities in a hat and each couple would pick one out and take part in it during day. Before Jon could protest he had been paired up with Sophia since they were the only two without a partner. Jon reluctantly picked out a piece of paper which revealed they would be going to a theme park together. He was worried about spending the day with Sophia especially after their disagreement the night before. “I’m going to have fun even if it kills me!” Sophia said as she grabbed Jon by the hand and left the house with him trailing behind her. This is going to be interesting, Jon thought.

At the theme park the two of them were silent and uneasy around each other for the first half hour but eventually Sophia noticed Jon relax more and she saw a more fun side to his personality. They went on all the rides they could se at least once and Sophia felt embarrassed at grabbing hold of Jon’s hand and screaming every time they came to a drop on the rollercoaster’s which Jon teased her about. She was finally starting to see him as a person rather than the business-first rock star she had met on set all those months ago. Despite the many different opinions they had, they were getting along well and played off each other a lot. Sophia was impressed by his determination to win her the biggest teddy bear available and couldn’t stop laughing at his expression when they had left the theme park and Sophia told him, “I don’t really like teddy bears.” Jon had paused and then threw the teddy bear at her knocking her down causing her and the teddy bear to start rolling down the hill. Hearing Jon shout, “That looks like fun!” Made her laugh even harder as she tried to see him rolling down behind her and the bear.

“Can you show me around town?” Sophia asked Jon when he asked her what she wanted to do now. He was surprised at her wanting to see the area as there wasn’t really much to show. “There’s not much to see around here, it’s pretty small,” he had warned her before they set off. “There’s plenty to see if you tell the stories right,” she replied. Jon was confused at her wanting to know all about the area and wondered why she was listening to all his silly stories from when he was growing up and the trouble he and Richie used to get into, most people only asked him what it was like being a rock star and part of one of the biggest bands in the world. He almost didn’t know what to say of his past. He found the time had flew past and they had spent hours walking around town and laughing at the stories he had been telling.

As the sun set on the water Sophia and Jon went to the end of the pier to watch the beautiful sight. Sophia found herself confused about Jon, she couldn’t understand why the man was so nice to her today and yet can just as easily be horrible to her. She really enjoyed his company and hoped he would stay this version of himself the next time she saw him. They remained silent for a time while they watched the sun disappear in front of them both in awe at the beauty of it. They then remained deep in conversation until the sky had turned completely dark and Richie crept up on them giving them a fright causing them both to clash heads as they turned to see who it was. The three of them laughed at the incident all the way back to Richie’s parents house.

Chapter 9

Victoria had been seeing Richie for 8 months now and was still as happy as ever with him. Sophia was surprised when she asked her to join them in New Jersey for a family gathering at Richie’s mums house. At first Sophia had refused to go telling Victoria she would just be in the way but after a week Victoria and Richie had convinced her to go. She couldn’t help laugh at how nervous she felt going to stay with her sisters boyfriends parents for a few days, Victoria tried to make her feel more at ease as she had met them a number of times and really liked them. All the way to New Jersey, Richie and Victoria teased her about how nervous she was. “You would think we were the Addams family the way your going on,” Richie laughed. She had no idea why she was so nervous at meeting them but felt it had something to do with knowing Jon was going to be there. She didn’t want to spend the next few days with a man who hated her.

Jon arrived at Richie’s mums house early and unpacked his things, he had been such a frequent visitor of the Sambora’s that they had given him his own room in the house. He loved going to their house for dinner his mum was such a good cook. When he was finished unpacking he made himself useful in the kitchen until Richie finally arrived just before dinner. He greeted his best friend with a manly hug before kissing Victoria on the cheek and looked stunned when he saw Sophia emerge from the car and waved a polite hello. As they unpacked Jon set the table making sure he would be sitting far from Sophia. The rest of Richie’s family arrived and they ate dinner together. It took Jon a while to settle in after finding out Sophia was there but he eventually relaxed and began to enjoy himself.

Sophia got along well with Richie’s family and liked them a lot. She was surprised at how well her sister already knew most of them and got along with them she was like part of the family. “So you and him really are best buds then?” Sophia found herself asking Richie about Jon. “He’s not as bad as you think,” Richie laughed. “He’s a great guy, he’s just not as sure of himself as he likes to make out. He’s way too involved in all the business side of things I think he sometimes forgets who he is. He works hard and we love him for it but sometimes a little too hard and he forgets about the fun things in life.” Sophia found herself watching Jon and for the first time she realised how good looking he was. His long blonde hair hung over his gorgeous blue eyes that were even more noticeable due to the blue shirt he wore. Sophia’s eyes darted back to the shirt which she could tell covered a perfectly sculpted body and then she was distracted by his smile. That famous smile that everyone loved, she had only just noticed it and it caused a flutter within her. Is he really Mr split personality businessman or was Richie just standing up for his friend? She thought as she continued to study him.

Jon was clearing up the table when he noticed a picture of an actress in one of Richie’s cousins magazines with no make up on and looking terrible. He couldn’t help it, the businessman inside him had to say it, “That can’t be good for business. Look at the state of her, you would think she would make more of an effort being in the public eye.” Almost before he had finished the sentence Sophia had stepped in with her point of view. “Are you for real? She’s just a normal person she might have children to look after as well as juggling work, maybe she just didn’t have the time for her appearance. Do you wake up in the morning looking perfect? I sure as hell don’t and I would be pretty pissed off at someone taking my picture while I’m at home minding my own business,” Sophia said, much to the agreement of most of Richie’s family which made Jon feel bad. That woman’s out to get me, he thought.

Chapter 8

Richie paused at the door and laughed at Jon’s startled expression. “You been sitting up waiting on me to come home daddy?” Richie teased. Jon couldn’t help but grin, “I must have fallen asleep.” Jon was shocked to find it was 3am, he thought he had only nodded off for a half hour. “So how was the date then?” Jon asked Richie. The minute the words left his lips he regretted it knowing he was going to get a long detailed story from Richie. Through the next hour Richie spoke non-stop about Victoria and their date together. Jon could tell he was really into this one, he hadn’t seen him like that over a woman before and he hadn’t even brought her home yet which was a big change for Richie who had developed a reputation for having a different woman in his bed wherever he went. Jon eventually made his way to bed leaving Richie in front of the t.v. like an excited puppy.

Sophia ignored her sisters whispers, pretending she was asleep when she heard her quietly call her name to see if she was awake. She wanted to hear what her sister had to say but was just too tired to give it her full attention, instead she smiled to herself at her sisters excited tone and went back to sleep. Waking up in the morning she allowed herself the pleasure of annoyingly waking up Victoria by banging two pots together in her ear causing her to jump up and hit her head on them, much to Sophia’s amusement. Pulling her sister out of bed she could hardly stop laughing. By time she had got washed and dressed her sister had calmed down and was ready to tell her all about the night before. Sophia listened all the while grinning away at how happy her sister was, she never imagined Victoria dating a rock star.

In make up Jon couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable around Sophia following the dream he had. He wasn’t usually one for dreaming at all so that made him more aware of Sophia’s presence in the room. He found it more helpful to complain about her to everyone that would listen, telling them she was rude and always had her nose in things that were none of her business. At the same time he couldn’t keep his eyes off her. He noticed every part of her was just as beautiful in the flesh as it had been in the dream and wondered how he had dreamed her up so perfectly when he hadn’t really looked at her in such detail before now. By the end of the day he felt guilty over what he had been saying to other people about her and couldn’t help but ask himself why he was acting so cruelly.

Sophia arrived home late that night as she stayed behind to help the rest of the crew tidy up so the set was ready for the following day. No matter how hard she tried she found it impossible to remove the thoughts of Jon from her mind. She had noticed him watching her all day and could at times hear parts of the conversations he was having in which he constantly complained about her. She had worked with some horrible stars before but his behaviour was taking it to a new level. She couldn’t understand what she had done to make him hate her so much. “Your obsessed with him,” Victoria had told her when she continued to complain about him late into the night. Sophia considered her sisters words and decided she was paying too much attention to him. “Your right! Who cares what Jon Bon Jovi thinks anyway?” she replied, all the while continuing to try and figure out why he hated her.

Chapter 7

The following morning Sophia was abruptly woken by her sister jumping on her bed. “You’ve got to get up now! I’ve waited ages so get up I’ve got loads to tell you,” Victoria said as she pulled the covers off her sister in an attempt to get her to move. Eventually rolling out of bed she got washed and dressed and joined her sister at the table. Before she could sit down Victoria had burst into an excited rant about her date with Richie the night before. She didn’t expect to ever see him again or take him up on giving him a call so she was shocked when she bumped into him on set and he offered to take her out to dinner. She continued her rant for another 20 minutes while Sophia tried hard to keep up with what she was saying. “So what do you think?” Victoria asked her about seeing Richie again tonight. Sophia smiled, “If he makes you that happy sis, go for it”. Victoria swung her arms around her sister, she knew she would see him again tonight anyway it just meant a lot to her that her sister approved.

Jon spent the first half of the day in his trailer making business calls as he wasn’t needed on set until later in the day. Although it was hard work he was enjoying acting and the publicity for the band that it was generating. He had noticed that the website views had doubled since it was announced that he was taking part in the film and found it funny how after only a couple of days on set there were rumours going around that he was seeing one of the other actresses on set. At first he thought it was amusing until his business brain kicked in and realised he could use it as more publicity once the initial uproar had quietened down. Mentally noting the idea he cleared up the table and made his way down to the make up department.

Sophia once again didn’t have to wait long for Jon to turn up. She was nervous about starting his make up incase he mentioned the day before to her so opted for silently nodding a greeting and kept the whole situation professional. She was glad when she spotted Richie approach who greeted her with a big hug, much to Jon’s confusion. “She’s Victoria’s sister,” Richie told him in reply to his puzzled look. “So am I permitted to take her out tonight?” he asked Sophia jokingly. “What? You’re seeing her again?” Jon asked. “Too right! She’s great! I just came down to ask you what would be best to wear. I’ve got it down to the blue shirt or the black shirt, what you think?” Richie asked. “She must have made an impression. Go for the blue shirt I like that one,” Jon replied, pleased that his friend had asked him for advice on what to wear. “Sorry to interrupt but I reckon the black shirt would look better,” Sophia offered her advice. “You haven’t even seen them,” Jon blurted out. “Yeah but blues more suited to you whereas he has dark hair and eyes that would work well with black, just offering my opinion, sorry,” Sophia replied. “Who asked for it?” Jon grumbled. “Black it is then!” Richie said as he wandered away again.

Jon arrived home still angry at having been overruled on his opinion of what Richie should wear. Who the hell is she to give her opinion, Jon thought as he turned his laptop on to check his emails. Before he knew it he found himself googling the make up artists name and found he was impressed by the work she had done and decided she was more qualified than him to tell Richie what to wear which made him laugh. He packed the laptop away and sat himself comfortably in one of the chairs to watch the t.v. Sophia sexily moved towards him, as though she was stuck in slow motion. She wore a long red dress with a slit running up the side, she was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen and felt his breath catch as she approached. Slowly she placed one knee on either side of him and placed a hand on his neck as he looked directly into her captivating eyes before she lowered her head allowing her luscious lips to meet with his. Bang! Jon jumped up as Richie shut the door awakening him. “What time is it?” Jon asked, unsure of how long he had been sleeping and slightly bewildered by his dream.

Chapter 6

“How the hell was I supposed to know who he was!” Sophia shouted at her sister who had argued with her all the way home over what had happened in the pub. “Everybody knows who Richie Sambora is! You really do live on another planet,” Victoria replied. “Well he wasn’t wearing a bloody name tag and I’m sure as hell not psychic so give it a rest will you,” Sophia said hoping she would finally be quiet. For all the times she wished her sister would talk more she found herself wishing she would shut up now. “I don’t know why your complaining anyway, he gave you his number didn’t he? He’s a much nicer person than that Jon too, he was a total asshole,” Sophia continued. “Well I can hardly give him a call now that he knows I hate his band mate and best friend that was just embarrassing,” Victoria explained, placing her hands on her cheeks in emphasis. “Your such a drama queen,” Sophia laughed as she made her way to her bedroom.

Jon awoke early the next morning to find Richie making him breakfast. Getting out of bed he showered and dressed making his way to sit at the table opposite a rather cheerful Richie. “I met someone you met yesterday, but she liked me better,” Richie grinned. “What are you on about?” Jon asked looking puzzled. “You pissed off a really hot woman and I found her in a bar. Really man, what were you thinking? She’s unbelievably hot and I gave her my number,” Richie continued to look pleased with himself. “And did she call?” Jon asked, hoping he knew the answer. “Give it time man,” Richie’s smile faltered. He had never had to wait more than a few hours for a call or at least a text, it was something he had become accustomed to since being famous, everyone came running. “Haha! Your losing your touch Richie, the hottie ain’t calling!” Jon couldn’t help but let his smile grow as Richie began to get irritated by him. As he left for work he could still hear Richie shouting out the door at him.

Sophia arrived at work with a still annoyed Victoria just in time to start. She was glad to know she wouldn’t be doing Jon’s make up this time and found the days work much easier and relaxed than the previous. There wasn’t much need for a lot of make up on anyone during filming so Sophia and other members of the crew allowed themselves a little time for some laughs and playing around. They congregated in the area where the trailers sat, well out of the way of filming and began to play around with some soft balls in a rule less game of dodge ball. At first Sophia was having a good time until she realised she was being watched from one of the trailers. Looking closely she realised it was Jon who looked rather angry at the commotion going on outside. “Would you like a game Mr Bon Jovi?” she asked in a mock posh tone as she jokingly curtsied. She had seemingly failed to amuse him as he rolled his eyes and slammed the window shut. Sophia shrugged her shoulders at the other’s enquiries and excused herself from the game wondering why the man hated her so much.

As Jon sat in his trailer trying to learn more of his script he had to constantly tell Richie to be quiet. He had came down to find out what a movie set was like and Jon had problems trying to get rid of him. Just as Richie finally began to settle down, he began to hear a lot of noise from outside and opened the window further to investigate. He couldn’t believe the crew were so noisy while filming was going on and he was trying to learn his lines. His rage grew as the woman from make up asked him to play and even had the guts to curtsy to him. Pulling the window shut he flew into a rant before realising Richie had left him alone. Looking out the opposite side of the trailer he could see Richie sitting on a bench with the woman Jon had offended the day before. Oh great, he thought, today just gets better and better, he’s going to be bragging about her all night.

Chapter 5

The minute the cameras started rolling Jon was in his zone. He was completely unaware of what the camera crew and others were doing around him, all he was concerned with was his own performance and what his co-stars were doing. He got irritated at how long it took for things to be ready between scenes but soon got used to how it worked and used the time as extra study of his script. He had been the only one so far that had not messed up his lines and caused filming to stop which comforted him knowing he could better the famous stars he was working beside. He was especially pleased when a couple of them who had ignored him at first had made an effort to go to him and apologise and even congratulate him on his performance. It had been a long day and when Jon arrived back at his trailer he couldn’t think about anything but getting home to his bed for a good nights sleep before coming back for more of the same the next morning.

Sophia found Victoria after she finished work and told her all about Jon and how he had behaved while having his make up done. Victoria refused to believe her, there was no way Jon would act like that, she’s just winding me up, she thought. “Well here’s your chance, he’s just came out his trailer if you hurry you will catch him,” Sophia pointed towards him. Victoria looked hesitant, she always wanted to meet him but had no idea what she would say when she finally had the chance. Quickly glancing in a window at her reflection, she smoothed her hair and made her way towards Jon.

Jon noticed the blonde woman approach and attempted to get away before she had caught up with him. He was too slow, the blonde woman shouted his name, although it was quiet he still felt it was loud enough to have to acknowledge her. Turning towards the woman he barked, “Is there a problem?” Victoria’s expression changed from excitement to bitter disappointment, this was not how meeting Jon Bon Jovi was supposed to go. Before the woman managed to say anything, Jon realised she held a Bon Jovi album in her hand along with a pen. All too late he realised that she was a fan looking for an autograph and not the unwanted personal assistant he had sent away earlier after explaining he had his own. Flashing his famous smile he tried to apologise to the woman who by now had gone from disappointment to anger. “Oh don’t bother, it’s clearly too much of a fuss,” Victoria said as she marched away. Jon swore loudly and ran his hand through his hair in frustration before making his way back to his trailer where he had left his car keys.

Sophia had watched her sisters encounter with Jon and was surprised when she walked away from him as she had expected her to fall at his feet and hang on to his every word. As they left the main building Sophia offered to buy her sister a drink in the local pub hoping it would calm her down. She clearly couldn’t believe the man of her dreams could be so horrible to her. Entering the pub, Victoria excused herself to make a phone call while Sophia ordered up their drinks at the bar. “You look like you’ve had as good a day as me,” said a tall, dark haired man who had appeared at the bar to her left. “Well I take it yours wasn’t so great either? I’ve got to try and cheer up my sister now, you know that Jon Bon Jovi guy? Well he wasn’t too nice to her there so she’s pretty upset,” Sophia told the man who seemed amused at what she had told him. As Victoria arrived at the bar the man moved towards her, “So you must be the sister.” He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. Victoria was speechless for a minute before she stuttered, “How do you know my sister?” The man laughed, “She was just telling me how horrible Jon was to you.” Victoria blushed and turned to Sophia, “Why the hell would you tell Richie Sambora that?”

Chapter 4

Sophia smiled at her sister, there were some things she would have to tell her about. Sophia quickly explained that the stars should not be approached unless the matter is work related and informed her that she would likely meet him at some point during filming. The latter part of the conversation put a smile back on Victoria’s face while the two women continued their tour. Although Sophia continued to inform Victoria all about the set she could tell her sister’s mind was elsewhere, mostly likely thinking about her future meeting with Jon Bon Jovi. As though on cue, Sophia’s boss called her just as she had finished speaking with her sister. Wishing her good luck on her new job, Sophia made her way back to the dressing rooms where she worked.

Jon could hardly contain himself, he was so excited when the knock at the door informed him he would be required in the make up department in 10 minutes. Grabbing his script and making his way towards the door, he stopped at the mirror and spoke to himself, “You have to get a grip here. This is finally it; remember and act professional. No bursting through the door giving it a song and dance”. He smirked to himself, a song and a dance was just what he wanted to do right now, he wanted to show everyone how excited he was at being there but they feelings were overruled by his need to be professional and earn respect as an actor. Straightening himself up, he replaced his smile with a serious expression knowing it would show he meant business. Damn, I’m good, he thought as he realised how convincing his expression was and allowed himself a sly smile and a chuckle before turning serious again.

Sophia waited patiently at her make up station expecting Jon Bon Jovi to turn up late like most stars usually did. She felt a little guilty when she had been told who’s make up she would be doing, just a half hour ago she had told her sister to stay away from him and yet she would be doing his make up soon. She was almost shocked when she saw him approach the room on time, that was definitely a first in her books. Walking over to where her boss stood talking to him, she was introduced and told exactly how Jon would look at the end of his make up session. Leading him over to the chair, Sophia explained exactly what she would be doing to him. At first she was trying to make polite conversation as she always attempted with the stars, it was always 50/50 whether they would engage in the conversation or not and after a short period of yes or no answers Sophia gave up and continued working in silence. It wasn’t as though she was his biggest fan but she had seen them on t.v. before and couldn’t help feel disappointed by the man in the flesh and knew her sister would be even more so. He was nowhere near the charismatic character she had expected to meet and although she was annoyed by his lack of answers, it was his refusal to make eye contact that got to her most. She felt as if he thought he was so much better than her that she wasn’t even worth acknowledging.

Jon sat quietly in the make up chair, he had suddenly started to feel sick which he put down to the excitement he felt along with the realisation that he would finally be shooting the movie after the make up was completed. Feeling as though the make up artist could sense his nervousness, he chose to avoid communicating with her unless he had to. There was no way he was going to let anything go wrong now, no one else was going to doubt his ability, not until they saw him at work because after that, Jon knew they would see he had talent in more areas than just music. Leaving his seat as soon as he was finished he hurried toward the set, this was finally it.

Chapter 3

Jon arrived early on the set to find he had to wait outside for someone to open up. He was rather amazed that no-one else had turned up yet. Timekeeping was something he had a problem with, no matter what he had to do he would always be determined to get it done by the time he had planned. It was a trait that was very rarely known in the music industry but something he had always believed was important. Standing outside the door with his assistant it was already beginning to irritate him. All he wanted to do was get in and settled before filming began so he could be ready for it. Soon after his arrival other crew members started turning up and were let in a side door which Jon thought was out of order, why should the crew be let in when he, one of the stars of the movie, was left standing outside twiddling his thumbs. Although he could feel his blood begin to boil he remained standing at the door appearing as cool as a cucumber, couldn’t have the crew thinking he was a diva on the first day. Eventually he was let inside and taken to his trailer where his assistant immediately began making the place more like home while Jon sat down and studied the script once again.

Bouncing out of bed ridiculously early for starting work, Victoria was just as excited as she had been the night before. As Sophia struggled out of bed some time later to find that her sister was already dressed and had breakfast waiting at the table for her. This was going to be an experience, Sophia was an extremely independent woman and enjoyed doing things for herself. The reason she left home in the first place was because her mother was always under her feet sweeping up the mess before it had even been made and her sister was exactly the same. A short time later, Sophia had finished eating and had got dressed. She couldn’t help laugh as she caught a glimpse of herself and her sister in the mirror before they left the apartment. They were complete opposites of each other as Victoria left as her usual glamorous self while Sophia opted for a more casual look that she felt comfortable working in. As they got into the car for the short drive to the set, Sophia could see her sister was getting more excited and nervous by the second. Not wanting to drag the anticipation out too long, she put her foot down and headed for work.

After what seemed like hours sitting in his trailer, there was finally a knock on Jon’s door alerting him to the fact that the other stars had now turned up. Placing the script down on his table, Jon stopped in front of the mirror ensuring he was presentable before making his way to meet his co-stars. For a short second he felt overwhelmed at how impressive the cast was, this was definitely going to be a big movie. One by one he made his way around introducing himself to the other actors and actresses. Most of them were pleasant enough and provided some advice for him while others merely sniffed at him in acknowledgement. He was ready for this kind of welcome, most people thought of him as just another musician trying to stick his nose into acting, they didn’t believe for a second that he might be any good at it. Jon kept his cool and continued to greet other people. He wanted to know who thought of him as just another big name to bring in publicity, these were the people he wanted to impress and he welcomed the challenge. Making his way back to his trailer for some last minute preparation, Jon realised he hadn’t been intimidated in the slightest by the presence of Oscar winning actors, it had only served to make him more determined to prove he was serious about the role. Smiling to himself he sat on the step of the trailer, script in hand.

Arriving at the set, Sophia pulled an excited Victoria out of the way of passing vehicles a number of times as she constantly took in the sights of the set. Last minute improvements were being made to all areas of the set before filming was allowed to start. Sophia couldn’t help but laugh at her sister as she walked around with her chin on the floor, it clearly wasn’t how she had expected it to look. “Shouldn’t you be meeting your new boss somewhere to find out your work plan?” Sophia asked, interrupting Victoria’s thoughts. “I’ve got a whole hour of staring to do before I start, I just wanted to come along early with you to get my bearings,” Victoria replied, still looking around her in awe. This gave Sophia an idea as she left Victoria for a couple of minutes while she found her boss. She had a little spare time before make-up was going to be needed and took advantage of it by taking Victoria on a grand tour. She introduced her to every member of the crew who wasn’t busy and showed her where all the stars transformations take place. She was about to show Victoria where she could find her until she realised she was talking to herself. Turning back she spotted her sister frozen to the spot staring at something. In a pathetic excuse for a whisper and much to Sophia's amusement she turned to her and said, “There he is Sophia. Should we go and say hello?”

Chapter 2

Jon paced anxiously outside the office. They were taking longer than he had expected to emerge with their decision. Running his hand through his long hair, he paused at the window to study the view of the city. He could feel the gaze of the secretary’s eyes on him as he did so. It was one of the hazards of being famous that everyone was always watching him. At this moment in time he wished he was alone in the room, he wondered if he had demanded too much and the whole plan was about to backfire on him. His brain was ticking overtime at the thoughts of what the two men in that room were about to tell him. Had he just blown it and gotten fired before he had started work? Forcing his star smile, he turned to the secretary and asked for a drink. That smile never failed with the women, before he had finished the sentence she was already out of her seat and off down the hallway to cater to his needs. His looks were both a blessing and a curse, he thought as he watched her go. So far in his career he had been noticed by many because of his appearance rather than his talents which really annoyed him and yet he was grateful too, if he didn’t look the way he did many of the fans he had now wouldn’t have noticed him in the first place. It was also one of the reasons why he took the risk of doing what he had today. He felt he was being given the characters that suited him and not allowed to prove himself as an actor. This film had given him that chance but he wanted more. He wanted to negotiate a new contract where he would have more screen time and be more of a main character. He loved the challenge and wanted to be the best he could be.

The office door finally swung open to reveal the two men inside. Both stood with blank expressions as they waved Jon inside to break the news. It had taken much convincing but they had finally agreed to alter the contract and contacted the writers to tell them to write him into more scenes. Jon couldn’t believe it, he himself had managed to arrange this meeting and pull it off, leaving him with one of the best parts in the movie. He noticed the hesitance in their voices but it only made him more determined to prove he was capable of pulling off such a great role. Shaking the hands of both men, Jon left the building grinning. “Well judging by the look on your face I’m guessing it went well?” Richie asked as Jon approached the car. “Extremely well,” Jon answered him, looking rather pleased with himself, “This is going to be a really good move, I can feel it. The publicity will be great for when we get the next album out.” Richie groaned, business seemed to be the only thing Jon spoke about these days. It wasn’t that he was ungrateful, if it hadn’t been for Jon and his business head then he wouldn’t be where he was today, he just got tired of all the talk and missed the old days when he could just have a laugh with his best friend. Mimicking his friend, Richie started up the engine and headed to Jon’s place.

Arriving at the apartment Jon had bought for their stay in LA during filming, Richie hauled the luggage from the boot as Jon went to open the door. It was a small but classy apartment, when he had bought it he had no idea that Richie would be coming along to stay with him. The original starting date for filming to begin had been pushed back many times due to the rest of the cast having other commitments to finish first and it turned out that his movie making time would now clash with the time he had set aside to work on the new album with Richie. Jon being Jon didn’t want to disappoint the fans with a late release and decided that he would take on the two projects at the same time and invited Richie to stay in LA with him. It was going to be a busy few months for him starting tomorrow. Once inside, Jon showed Richie to his room before making his way to his own to start unpacking. He was glad he had been lucky enough to find this place so near to where they would be filming, he really hated having to live out of a suitcase and this would be home to him for the duration of filming.

Finally having unpacked and settled in a little more, Jon and Richie cleared up after the dinner they had made. It was going to be interesting spending so much time in such a small space with Richie again. He loved how it was in the beginning but these days things like that would affect business so for now he decided he would just keep an eye on him. While Jon continued to dry the dishes and put them away he heard Richie scuffling around in the living room. “Hey bud, why do you have pictures of all these people? I don’t think I’ve seen any of them before, you taken up some sort of private detective work?” Richie shouted through to him. Jon shook his head and laughed, Richie could never resist having a nosey at things that weren’t for him. “It the pictures of all the cast and crew that will be on set tomorrow. Some new thing they do to make sure you know who should be there and who shouldn’t,” Jon provided as the answer. “There’s some lookers in this bunch Jon. Check out that personal assistant,” Richie passed Jon one of the photo’s. Jon barely nodded in agreement, he wasn’t going to need one of the provided assistants, he always took his own with him. For the remainder of the evening the two men sat and watched the football on tv, it was Jon’s way of relaxing before he had to go to work.

Chapter 1

Sitting comfortably, swinging in her chair as she contently read her book, Sophia jumped at hearing her sister explode through the front door. “Nothing like shutting the door quietly is there, sis?” Sophia asked sarcastically with a hint of a smile. She knew her sister well enough to know that any unexpected noise meant she was excited about something. Moving from her seat she made her way to the kitchen where her sister was standing. “I’m coming with you tomorrow!” Victoria squeaked in excitement as she hugged her big sister. Sophia looked puzzled and Victoria happily told her what had happened while she was out shopping. It had turned out that one of the personal assistants due to start work on the set the next day had backed out leaving the company that Victoria worked for to find someone at the last minute. This would be the first time Victoria had to deal with assisting one of the cast and Sophia was pleased at her having the opportunity, but couldn’t help but think she might be getting in over her head. Sophia had seen first hand what it takes to be a good personal assistant to these people and she wasn’t sure Victoria had the confidence in herself to get things done to their standards, she had always been the shy one in the family. Refusing to dampen her spirits, Sophia pushed away her worries and congratulated her.

Sophia Tallarico was one of the many make-up artists that would be needed on the set of a new war film that would be starring some of the biggest names in Hollywood. The fact that there were going to be so many make-up artists on one movie, Sophia had learned from experience, meant that they were expecting a cast with the classic diva attitude. This didn’t help matters when she thought of how her sister was going to survive the experience. It wasn’t that she was useless at her job, her sister just happened to pick a career that was more suited to outgoing personality types while she had the presence of a mouse amongst the other workers at her company. She was one of the hardest working people Sophia knew but no matter how hard she tried she hadn’t made it to become a personal assistant to the famous, until now. Sophia couldn’t push the worry from her mind as they sat down to dinner together. “So can you finally tell me who will be starring in this movie now that I’m part of the crew?” Victoria had been nagging at her to find out who would be in the movie for most of the week since Sophia arrived home. Checking the cast list was something Sophia hated to do, it always took away the element of surprise when she turned up for work. Deciding that she would get more peace from her sister if she just gave in, she departed from the table to find the list that her boss had given her weeks before.

Emerging from her bedroom with a piece of paper in hand and a grin on her face Sophia made her way towards Victoria, teasingly waving it in front of her then pulling it away so as she couldn’t grab it from her. Eventually tiring of annoying her she set the paper down and pointed, “There’s only one name your going to be interested in.” Victoria glanced through the list of names recognising most of them as popular actors and actresses but stopped dead halfway down the row. She had spotted Jon Bon Jovi, her favourite singer of all time, she was a great fan of Bon Jovi but especially of Jon. Sophia laughed at her sister’s reaction. Her chin was on the floor and her eyes were wide. Taking a couple of minutes to let it settle in, she then bounced from the chair and pulled Sophia to her feet as they danced around the room. Sophia couldn’t help but laugh and join in. This was the way she liked her sister to be, she was one of the few people who ever got to see this side of which Sophia thought was a shame as her sister was so funny and intelligent but for some unknown reason she went to mush around people she didn’t know well. It didn’t help that her previous boyfriend had only been with her to use her contacts in Hollywood and then dumped her the minute he smelt fame. Sophia often wondered why her sister was still single as she was beautiful with her long blonde hair and tall figure to rival any models, she eventually just put it down to her lack of confidence and the nice men not giving her a chance to come out of her shell. Settling back down at the table, Victoria began to quiz her on what it was like to be working for these famous stars.

The time went by all too fast with them having to rush their packing and make their way to the airport. Victoria had become obsessed with what she would wear in order to look like she meant business and yet still look good. This was where Sophia came in handy. Before she worked as a make-up artist she had been involved in the wardrobe department and knew exactly how to get the best out of a persons figure with the right clothes. She felt it was a good skill to have especially when she often accompanied her sister on night’s out. Looking as good as her was impossible with Sophia being a good bit shorter than her sister with brown hair, people often found it hard to believe they were related since they looked so different. Sophia herself was a good looking woman with a great figure, she just couldn’t compete with the glamorous looks of her sister. Together they boarded the plane, Sophia sensing the excitement building in her sister as she eagerly anticipated meeting the stars.

Introduction

This is my second attempt at fan fiction writing and this one will be focussed on Jon Bon Jovi. The story centres on the relationship created between Jon and Sophia who become tangled in each others lives after they meet on the set of a film Jon is making. Often misunderstood and side-tracked by events in their lives, will the two ever see eye to eye?
